Anti-Reflective Coatings
Capitalizing on the inherent hardness of factory applied hard coatings combined with laboratory controlled hardcoat applications, the ClearView process adds several new layers to the traditional AR layer stack: a harder proprietary base layer, a new conductive anti-static layer and a high performance adhesion layer. The result is an AR coating which is significantly more scratch resistant than coatings of the past with the added advantage of repelling dust and dirt. Reduced Glare
Standard untreated lenses lose up to 15% of the available light due to reflections. This penalizes the ability to see comfortably both in normal room light and low light conditions – leading to eye fatigue and strain
The highly polished surfaces of spectacle lenses reflect light in much the same way as mirrors. Under certain conditions reflections and ghost images annoy your vision and distract others attempting to communicate eye to eye. The intensity of these reflections can be reduced to almost zero by the application of ClearView AR”
Guaranteed Adhesion
Maximum adhesion is assured through extensive testing which includes accelerated aging tests, cylic humidity, cross hatch, saline water boil and shock testing. All indicators point to the fact that ClearView AR provides a consistent superior performance. ClearView's added high performance adhesion layer insures greater stability to an already proven superior process.
Increased Light Transmission
ClearView AR maximizes the visual performance of eyeglass lenses. This is easily observed by patients when the amount of light transmitted is greater than 99%. For the wearers of mid and high index lens materials this translates into 13% or more improvement and as much as 8% for standard plastic prescription lenses. This results in clearer, sharper vision.
Advanced Scratch Resistance
Dramatically improved scratch is evidenced by Bayer test results, an industry standard which simulates consumer wear. ClearView AR is up to 3 times more abraison resistant than traditional AR.
ClearView Ultra AR incorporates all the features of our ClearView AR and goes one step further with the application of a revolutionary new super oleophobic topcoat.
This super-slick surface not only resists water, it repels body and facial oils, grease and substances composed of them. With ClearView Ultra AR, smudging fingerprints and soiling of the lens is virtually a thing of the past.
